Our verdict: 7/10

If you want to try resveratrol, SelfPlus AGE+ is one of the most transparent options we have reviewed: one ingredient, a printed dose of 125 mg of trans-resveratrol from Japanese knotweed, one capsule a day, no subscription and a 60 day guarantee. The sales page has no fake doctors, fake reviews or miracle promises, and the brand bans those tactics for its affiliates too. Keep expectations realistic: resveratrol is well studied and well tolerated, but a benefit for aging in humans has not been proven yet.

A good fit if you

  • Want to add resveratrol to a healthy routine
  • Prefer a single ingredient with the dose on the label
  • Do not want a subscription or a handful of pills

Not for you if you

  • Expect visible anti aging results
  • Take blood thinners, unless your doctor agrees
  • Are pregnant, breastfeeding or had an estrogen sensitive cancer

Read this first

The Linus Pauling Institute advises women with a history of estrogen sensitive cancers to avoid resveratrol supplements, and notes that safety in pregnancy and breastfeeding is not established. Resveratrol may raise bleeding risk with blood thinners and can change how the liver processes some medicines, including some statins. Ask your doctor first if any of this applies to you.

AGE+ is sold to adults looking for a simple daily healthy aging supplement. We read the official sales page, the Supplement Facts label, the refund, shipping and affiliate policies, and the studies the page links to, then checked them against the Linus Pauling Institute and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. We did not buy or test the product.

Who Makes SelfPlus AGE+?

The site is operated by Wellora Wellness LLC, doing business as SelfPlus. It lists a support email and a U.S. phone number, and returns go to a fulfillment center in Aurora, Colorado. Its policies are dated September 2026, so this is a new brand without a long track record.

One detail stood out. The brand’s published affiliate guidelines ban affiliates from using fake doctors, fake testimonials, fabricated reviews, fake scarcity and claims that the product reverses aging or treats disease. Many sales pages we have reviewed used those tactics. The SelfPlus page does not.

The SelfPlus AGE+ Label

SelfPlus AGE+ Supplement Facts label

Each capsule contains 250 mg of Japanese knotweed root (Polygonum cuspidatum) standardized to 50% trans-resveratrol, which works out to 125 mg of trans-resveratrol. The label also lists magnesium stearate, lemongrass powder and white rice flour, and the capsule is made of cellulose.

This is the opposite of a proprietary blend: one ingredient, one dose, printed clearly. According to the Linus Pauling Institute, most resveratrol supplements in the U.S. use Japanese knotweed root, and human absorption studies have used the trans form, the one in AGE+. The same source notes that supplements range from less than 1 mg to 500 mg per capsule, which puts 125 mg in the middle. Our resveratrol dosage guide compares the doses used in studies.

What the Research Says About Resveratrol

Source What it says
Systematic review, International Journal of Molecular Sciences, 2024 (cited by the brand) Almost 200 studies across at least 24 conditions over 20 years, but “no conclusive clinical evidence” to recommend resveratrol in any healthcare setting and no consensus dose. Generally well tolerated up to 1 g a day
Linus Pauling Institute, Oregon State University Absorbed well but rapidly metabolized, so bioavailability is low. Extended lifespan in yeast, worms, flies, fish and some mice, but “it is not known” whether it does the same in humans
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center A meta analysis found no significant effect on memory, another found no benefit on cardiovascular risk factors, and a Cochrane review found insufficient evidence for diabetes

In short, resveratrol is widely studied and was well tolerated at doses far above this one, but there is no proof it slows aging in humans. The Linus Pauling Institute adds that no safe and effective dose for preventing chronic disease has been established. If muscle and strength are your concern, our guide to protein and amino acids for older adults covers what the research supports, and for skin, hair and nails see our Advanced Collagen Plus review.

The Sales Page Claims

  • “Supports healthy aging”. This is a structure and function claim with the standard FDA disclaimer. The page does not promise to reverse or stop aging, and its affiliate rules forbid those words.
  • “194 human clinical studies reviewed”. Accurate: the number comes from the 2024 systematic review in our research table above, a real and recent source.
  • Linked studies. The page links two trials. One gave 800 mg a day for 2 months to 48 people with type 2 diabetes; the other gave 500 mg a day for 4 weeks to 56 people with type 2 diabetes and heart disease. Both reported better antioxidant markers, at four to six times the AGE+ dose.
  • No testimonials or doctor. We found no customer stories, star ratings, celebrity or physician endorsement on the page.

Guarantee and Refund Terms

SelfPlus offers a 60 day money back guarantee. To use it, you contact BuyGoods customer support, follow their return instructions and send the product back to the address they give you. Refunds go to the original payment method, with no restocking fee.

Two costs stay with you: return shipping is your responsibility, and original shipping is generally not refunded unless the product arrived damaged, defective or incorrect. The policy does not say whether opened or empty bottles are accepted, so ask support before returning.

Is SelfPlus AGE+ Safe?

Dose. The 2024 review describes resveratrol as generally well tolerated up to 1 g a day, and the Linus Pauling Institute reports stomach side effects such as nausea and diarrhea mainly above 1,000 mg a day. AGE+ provides 125 mg.

Blood thinners. Both the Linus Pauling Institute and Memorial Sloan Kettering warn that resveratrol may raise the risk of bruising and bleeding with anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs.

Other medicines. Resveratrol can inhibit CYP3A4, a liver enzyme that processes drugs such as some statins and immunosuppressants, according to the Linus Pauling Institute.

Who should avoid it. Women with a history of estrogen sensitive cancers, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, since safety has not been established.

Final Verdict: 7/10

SelfPlus AGE+ is sold the way we wish more supplements were: one ingredient, a printed dose, no subscription, a 60 day guarantee and a sales page that stays within honest limits. If you have decided to try resveratrol, it is an easy product to trust. It stops short of a higher score because resveratrol’s benefits for aging are still unproven in humans and $69 a bottle is on the high side, so the 3 or 6 bottle packages make more sense if you plan to stay with it.

Who might consider it: an adult who already eats well, exercises and wants to try resveratrol from a brand that is upfront about what is in the bottle. Who should skip it: anyone expecting visible anti aging results, people on blood thinners or CYP3A4 processed medicines without a doctor’s advice, women with estrogen sensitive cancers, and anyone pregnant or breastfeeding.
